Advantages Powerful Podcasting

If you’re looking for a shortcut to get your consumer to buy, it might be through their ear. Auditory response is one of the strongest senses we possess. Have you ever wondered why you can remember the tune of a song (“It’s a small world") but can’t remember an article you read in the paper just this morning? That’s the power of audio. Sound is invasive, intrusive and irresistible. That’s one reason why I’m always telling authors about the power of speaking engagements: sound sells. Many of us incorporate sound into our marketing plans through radio, but there’s something even more powerful for you to consider and it’s called podcasting.

If you’ve always dreamed of having your own radio show, your dream is about to become a reality. It seems only yesterday we were telling you about the power of blogging, but today we’re looking at something equally, if not more, powerful. In its simplest term, podcasting is an audio blog and it’s another exceptionally powerful way to spread the word about your book and message. Several years ago when Internet radio came on the scene authors were vying for airwaves on the Net. But while Internet radio is still going strong, it’s also very expensive. Most shows cost upwards of $800 a month, plus show hosts need to obtain their own program sponsors. Podcasting, on the other hand, is a fraction of the cost. Here’s how it works.

Podcasting, just like blogs, sits on the Internet but instead of sitting in a written file, it’s saved in an MP3 format that can be transferred to any mobile music device like an iPod. A podcast can also be subscribed to through RSS or syndication feeds. If this seems complicated, it’s not, the entire process will take you about an hour to set up, if that, and once you do, you’re off and running.

Most podcasts require an external mic on your computer, but I’ve started using a system through Audio Acrobat (audioacrobat.com) that will allow you to call into a pre- assigned number and record your podcast from anywhere: your office, your car or while on a trip! Then the audio file is saved into the system and sent out via their publication tools to a variety of "feeds," which in essence sends the audio blog out onto the Internet. Now you might wonder how someone will find you and your podcast. Well, you might be surprised. While your first recording might go unnoticed, your second and third will not. Here are some tips for getting the right podcast for you and then getting the world to beat a path to your audio blog door! Topic: First, you want to find a niche and ideally one that ties into your book or message. While topics on religion and gambling are two of the hottest podcasts right now, if your topic doesn’t tie into these it’s best to stay away from them. Go online to iTunes, iPodder.org, or Podcast.net and see who’s talking about your topic and what they’re saying, then plan to be different!

Structure: So how will your podcast be structured and how much time should you plan to spend on a podcast? Truthfully, I’d recommend only 10 to 15 minutes. Unless your podcast is truly compelling or in an interview type format, listeners don’t usually have the attention span to listen longer. Don’t force people to listen to long-winded audios, cut right to the chase, share your information in tip-like, informative nuggets and you’ll find listeners subscribing to your podcast like crazy!

Make a plan: If you decide to do this, try mapping out a few podcasts in advance and plan to offer your information on a daily or, at the very least, a weekly basis.

Setting up your podcast page: When you utilize Audio Acrobat for your podcast, you’ll be able to include a link to your web site. Remember the idea behind the podcast is promotion, so the URL you send them to should reflect this. Ideally you won’t want to send them to your home page but rather a page just for your podcasts. You can include a listing of prior “shows” as well as a way for them to sign up for future updates, your newsletter or perhaps a link to your book or store.

Chicklets and other geek terms: So what’s a “chicklet?” Well, it’s that little orange square that has the letters XML on it. You will click on that to subscribe to a feed. If you obtained your podcast through Audio Acrobat, these chicklets are created for you and you can just cut and paste the HTML into your web site or have your web designer do it for you. I copied the HTML language into my blog and let visitors subscribe that way. If you use another podcasting service, they should supply you with the language to create this on your own.

Syndicating your podcast: So if you’re going to do a radio show, you’ll want listeners, right? Now I mentioned that if you use a service like Audio Acrobat the system will send the feeds for you to about 16 services, which is great, but there’s still more work you can do.

First, you should consider getting a syndication link on Feedburner.com. This way people can copy your link into their feed reader (we’ll cover this in a bit) and get updated every time you add a new podcast. You can access this feed service at: Feedblitz (www.feedblitz.com).

Feed readers: If you’ve spent *any* time on the Net you’ve no doubt seen those little XML chicklets we mentioned earlier. When you click on them it takes you to a page of confusing text, but it’s the link that you want to copy and paste into your feed reader. When we talk about syndicating a blog, this is what we mean. The reader you have really doesn’t matter and there are quite a few to choose from, if you Google “Feed Readers,” you’ll pull a bunch of them up for you to try. I use SharpReader (www.sharpreader.com) and love it.

Podcasting, besides being a great promotional tool, is a terrific way for you to verbalize the passion you have for your topic. Go an inch wide and a mile deep with your message, offer helpful advice or spout your opinion. Be creative or controversial or a little of both. The bottom line is this: podcasting is not only fun but it’s a great way to spread the message about you and your book. Use it correctly and you’ll see even more readers beating a path to your door.

Tips Maximalis High Connection Net

The popularization of the PC has changed the way we live our lives. Well, the PC and the Mac kind of changed it together.

But whatever your preference is, you can definitely get what you pay for nowadays. For the past 10 years, most of us have grown used to having a home computer. We started pretty basic, sure, but it was all part of the process we had to take to get where we are today.

Internet service has also come a long way, and now is the time of High Speed Internet.

Who is your ISP? Do you prefer DSL or Cable? These are questions that might not be so uncommon these days. Many providers are struggling to outdo the rest and get our money. We just have to ask them 2 things; What they are offering, and how much its going to cost us. We all want the speediest internet, but sometimes its hard to choke down that high bill every month.

I am a huge techie, so I have naturally tried many internet providers. My first was Roadrunner. It worked fairly well. Then I moved and switched to Comcast. Their service was very satisfying as well. But more recently I moved again. I decided to switch toeven more high-speed internet from the older DSL I had. At first I was not very happy with it. While the connection was fast and the speed was high, the cost was higher as well. I decided to switch back to Roadrunner which was much cheaper and had the same benefits.

Dial-up is definitely not an option for me. It is a concept that should have died out 5 years ago, but unfortunately many people still use it today. They do not realize that they could pay just several more dollars per month and revel in high speeds while not clogging up the phone line. If you still have dial-up, I urge you to upgrade. You will probably be astounded at how much lower the prices are than what you thought.

Pricing is not as drastic as it once was. You can easily obtain a high speed connection for a little over double what you pay for dial-up. Although it might seem odd to pay so much for high speed, if you spend alot of time online then a high-speed internet connection will drastically improve your surfing ability. For the little extra, its well worth it.

Most eBay Tips

For just a moment, try to comprehend the power of the Internet. Every day, there are millions of people from around the globe "surfing the web."

People run their business from the Internet, search for love, research succulent recipes, plan vacations, and best of all - they SHOP! People that shop are always looking for a bargain, not just any bargain, but something spectacular.

The most popular public auction site, eBay, is where people gather to find anything from dishes to jewelry to houses and just about everything in between. Last year there was even a mother sold on eBay!

You can purchase amazing original artwork from China, have it signed by the artist, and shipped directly to your home. Perhaps you are trying to find 12 yards of Toile to reupholster your couch. You might even be looking for a new lawnmower or different power tools. The great news is that eBay has it all!

The other side of buying is the selling. Anyone can sell anything on eBay. Open an account, list your product, and wait for the bids to start coming in. There are secrets to being a power seller on eBay. While it is true that anyone can sell, to be successful, you need to know the inside secrets. One woman made over $250,000 last year on items sold on eBay. She is just one out of thousands and thousands of people that make a ton of money just selling merchandise.

Are you ready to learn how to be an eBay seller? You will find it to be easy, fun, and exciting.

1. Collectibles

Hot sellers on eBay are collectibles such as coins, stamps, or dolls. You can check out the collectibles category to get a better idea of what people love to buy. Anything that will move up in value would fall in this category.

2. Consumables

This popular category would include anything that people use and then would need to buy again such as lotions, perfumes, camera film, candles, etc.

3. Information Products

In this category, you would sell anything that can be sent on a CD or floppy disc or downloaded from the Internet. This is another popular category.

4. Start at Home

When you first get started, it can be a little unnerving. The best option is to start by looking around your own home. Think of items that you would sell in a garage sale. However, instead of pricing each item and lugging it outside hoping for a nice sunny day, you can advertise them on the Internet.

5. Just eBay

Although there are several other quality auction websites, eBay is by far the most popular and most successful. Although you could start using all the other sites, by spreading yourself out too thin you take the risk of getting things mixed up. In reality, it is better to use eBay and focus your attention and efforts on this one site. You will not be disappointed.

6. Look Around

Navigate through each section to familiarize yourself with all the different pages. You will find a site map and help tab, which are very useful tools. It will take a little time to get used to the site but start by looking. As you start selling, navigating will become much easier.

7. Quick Response

When you have an item listed on eBay and a potential buyer contacts you with a question, respond quickly. It is important and actually critical to your success to check your account several times a day. Answering a question could be the difference between you getting the sale or the buyer going elsewhere.

8. Trustworthiness

It is extremely important that you handle your account with integrity. The number of positive comments and amount of stars earned are what will be the deciding factor for many buyers. Be professional, polite, and stand by what you sell.

9. Accuracy

When you list your item(s) on eBay, write an accurate description. You do not have to write long paragraphs of rambling information but provide exact measurements, colors, condition, etc. Be extremely precise when it comes to your description.

10. Buyer Contact

Once your item(s) have sold, be responsive to the buyer. Contact them in a quick manner, thank them for their purchase, and provide the required information for payment.

Explain Avoid Scams On The Net

Thanks to technology, the internet is an excellent place for any business transaction. Most people today depend on the internet for buying or selling air tickets for travel, laptops, cellular phones, household items, perfumes, watches, jewellery and real estate too. The internet has proved to be very cost effective for not only consumers, but also the retailers as they sell their products without any extra cost of shops, man power and so on. These world wide websites have given a big opportunity to retailers to market their products on the net, which gives them huge sales and profits.

The best part about online shopping is the convenience of shopping at any time of the day in the comfort of your homes and offices. However there are many frauds and scams to dupe online shoppers readily. Fraudsters either swallow the customers money or attain their credit card number and misuse it for their own benefits. It is important that all internet users should be aware of such scams and make sure they avoid frauds, by using reputable and authentic websites for purchase.

These days there are a lot of duplicate stores available online, thus you should make sure that the online store is authentic and legitimate. You should ask your friends and family if they have heard or used the store. If they have had bad experiences, they will warn you. You could also order a page of the website and search for the logo of authenticity. You can also search the consumer forum websites to see if there have been any negative reports on the online store. If the online store states to be endorsed by an authentic company, you should always call the endorsing organisation or visit their official website to enquire.

Many online stores provide the service of [Cash on Delivery.] Even if they demand higher prices, you should always opt for this service to avoid cases of fraud. It is always better to play safe than get caught in scams. However if the website does not offer cash on delivery service you should always pay by your credit card because you can take legal action against the website if you do not receive the product you purchased.

You should always read the clauses of the website before purchasing your products online. Many websites, which provide multiple retailers offer the money back guarantee if you do not receive your product. Thus making it easy for you to claim your money or trace the fraudster in case of a scam.

Due to increase in internet scams, most credit card providers give [substitute] numbers and [single use] credit card numbers which allow you to use the online facility without having to give your real account number. This service protects your credit card from being misused and prevents hackers and fraudsters.

Lastly, after purchasing the product online always print the order or document which provides the proof of your purchase. Keeping proof is the safest way to avoid any sort of internet scam.

Steps Bussines Succes In year 2013

With small to medium sized enterprises (SME’s) responsible for driving the economic recovery, it’s not surprising that entrepreneurs are feeling the pressure.

Whether enterprise will have the impact on recovery the Government wants it to remains to be seen, however there has arguably never been such an opportunity to be entrepreneurial in Britain. Just what support do British businesses need to succeed in the current climate?

1. The eureka! moment

The biggest challenge to an entrepreneur is their own limitations. If you have the belief, confidence and ambition, then the is easy to sort out. Whatever your venture, be honest and realistic. Are you fulfilling a gap in the market? Is your great idea REALLY a great idea? Have you talked to your potential customers? Are you aware of your potential competitors? What is your brand identify / promise?

2. Improve your marketing know-how

Marketing doesn’t need to cost the earth. Or anything. Utilise social media (eg Facebook and Twitter and Linked in to generate interest, debate and customer feedback. Ensure that your website is easy to navigate and is optimised for search engines. If you have a great story, try to gain free publicity via your local or trade press. Don’t have the time to become an expert? Turn to services like People per hour.com — where you can buy the expertise of a freelancer by the hour.

3. Build your Business Toolbox

There has never been such an array of business tools available to improve the efficiency and productivity of your organisation. As long as you have a good connection you can be online and on call regardless of location or device. Most people don’t realise that Google apps can be adapted for business — gmail, calendars — you don’t need to find an expensive solution to do it all. For example - I’m even hosting a Google hangout with Google on 10th or 11th December — with no need to download any software.

4. Know where the buck lies

Register your business with HMRC or your company with Companies House; open a business bank account; and set up your financial record-keeping system. By law, this is a necessity. There’s lots of support and advice available on how to run a tight ship — make sure that you are getting the guidance you need. With the rise of micro-businesses, RTI legislation coming into effect and HMRC going after tax owed from SMEs this year it is imperative to be on top of tax and compliance from day one. If nothing else, it gives you peace of mind.

5. Talk to the right people

Not just from the experts — get realistic advice from your network and market demographic. Test your idea. Tap into entrepreneurial communities online where you can get inspiration and guidance from others who have successfully started their own business – often the best way to learn about starting up is from those who’ve done it. Once you’re sure, make sure you get the right experts on board. There are many websites that offer free advice, such as Business Link, Start Up Donut, Smarta and Startups.co.uk. Your local enterprise agency or bank might also be able to provide information.

Tips Making The Most Of E-Commerce

The e-commerce industry in the world is currently worth £78 billion and set to exceed £87 billion over 2013. Businesses are starting to realise that having an optimised website is a must to attract new customers and gain business.

As businesses struggle to maintain their presence on the high street, companies need to make sure that they are utilising both on and offsite marketing to improve their chances of success.

A. On-site

Shoppers want to find things quickly, so offer a high-quality search tool to improve the customer journey and keep things simple. Don’t rely on customers typing keywords into .the search box — let them filter results by size, location etc.

Layout is also important, so utilise your space well, making sure pages are not cluttered. Rotating banners at the top of page help to engage customers immediately and should be directly marketed towards customers, using dynamic display advertising or behavioural retargeting.

Fresh content is essential for improving on-site SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and a simple way to do this is with customer reviews and recommendations. Impartial reviews help to improve site credibility and give customers additional details about your product or service.

44% of consumers abandon online purchases if the checkout process is complicated. Having to register with a site or sign up to a credit account often leads to basket abandonment, so it’s important to offer a guest checkout and a variety of payment options.

B. Off site

65% of consumers prefer to buy from marketplaces or auction sites1, so don’t ignore this channel, which offers an existing community for you to target.

Comparison search engines (CSEs) allow consumers to compare items by price, brand etc. If you integrate your products into a CSE, their visibility and accessibility to online shoppers will increase.

Affiliate programmes can also be a good source of traffic for businesses, as they send traffic to your site from theirs, in exchange for a small commission. The more relevant the content is to your products or services, the more traffic you will get to your site.

If a customer leaves your site empty-handed you can retarget them with display adverts that show them similar products in the hope that they will return to the site and complete the transaction.

Social media should not be forgotten, as it allows businesses to socialise with their customers and fans and lets people stay up-to-date with brands they are interested in. Including links to your e-commerce site from your social media pages also helps to increase traffic.

C. Easy e-commerce

Businesses need to engage with customers across all channels, both on and offline if they are to thrive and the way to do this is with data. There’s so much data available that businesses know who their customers are, where they are and how to interact with them.

Once you have engaged with a customer, you will be exposed to their personal details, which you can segment so you can target them with relevant offers and updates.

If your database is properly organised you’ll be able to directly target your customers with personalised information to encourage more interaction, return visits and business opportunities.

Technology 4G and process Business

As we move closer to the nationwide rollout of 4G later this year, entrepreneurs and business leaders up and down the country are considering how this new technology will transform the way they work and serve their customers, while also providing a much needed boost to the bottom line. We’re calling on organisations across all sectors to take advantage of the opportunity that 4G will bring, so that together we can make Britain truly digital.

While 4G will allow for faster data speeds and a more seamless mobile experience through greater network coverage,. it also provides the opportunity for businesses to go beyond what has already been offered in the market and create new and exciting digital experiences for both their customers and their employees. Whether that’s developing new products and services to make consumers lives easier, increasing productivity through new ways of working, or the provision of more efficient systems, there are gains to be enjoyed by businesses in all industries and sectors, regardless of size.

In order for businesses to thrive in these economically difficult times, they must take advantage of the opportunities available through digital technologies. As 4G becomes a nationwide reality, businesses that are quick to incorporate the technology into their ways of working will have the chance to make a vital jump ahead of their competitors.

From a logistical perspective, 4G can help make employees work habits truly flexible. With speeds five times faster than 3G, large files can be downloaded and sent whilst on the move, video conferencing can take place almost anywhere, and real-time data can be sent from the point of source, all without the need for an office, a desk or even a computer. Even for smaller businesses, where time and resource can often. be scarce, 4G offers new ways to improve both efficiency and productivity.

For example, a small interior design company could save time, whilst also providing a better service, by being able to download and review plans for a project whilst on site with their client. In days gone by, plans would be discussed, notes would be taken, and changes made back at the office with hours or even days going by before the client can see an updated version. This is a great example of how 4G can help a business become more efficient while also offering a greatly improved service to its customers.

In the retail sector, the boom of “m-commerce” is only set to continue under 4G. More users will be shopping on their mobile devices than ever before presenting a huge opportunity for retailers to strengthen their mobile shopping experience and create richer offers and experiences for customers. The increased indoor penetration of network coverage means that customers will be able to use their mobiles to easily access information on products whilst in store, so the call for retailers is to ensure they are offering an integrated, multi-channel shopping experience.

From a marketing perspective, the speed of 4G will make video even more accessible whilst on the move, and so provides an opportunity for businesses to quickly and easily promote their product or service by creating and uploading new video content to their website and social media channels. Furthermore, 4G will make targeted, location-based promotions by retailers even more effective as customers on the high street will be better connected than ever before.

This is just a snapshot of the impact that 4G will have on the day to day operations of other businesses, but looking to the future it’s clear that the scope for further innovation is vast. Businesses must start thinking now .about how 4G can enhance the way they operate, whether it’s the way they sell, advertise, serve their customers or connect with their employees.

Easier Building your Business

Other people’s business problems can be fascinating. Outsider owner-managers can often see an obvious solution that is not clear to the person trying to solve the problem. Why is this?

Firstly, we are usually able to look at someone else’s problems more objectively. The person experiencing the problem finds it hard to be objective because their view is cluttered by previous experiences from their involvement in the situation.

Emotions can run high when we confront a problem in our business. Powerful feelings of blame or guilt may be involved and we may feel a personal responsibility for everything that goes on in our organisation, especially where a success or failure is involved. But outsider owner-managers have no such emotional stakes on the table.

Can you see the wood for the trees? Perhaps you know too much about the detailed day-to-day workings of your business, and this is obstructing your view of the whole? Sometimes a lack of detailed knowledge allows an outsider owner-manager to ask the seemingly naïve questions that drill right to the core of the issue.

The best outsider advisors are disinterested, meaning they have no interest in the business, simply the desire to lend a hand. Family members and employees usually do have an interest, and this will alter their view of the issue.

At Cranfield School of Management, we have come to appreciate the important contribution an outsider can make to helping you solve your business growth issues. We know this from observing the unique peer-to-peer and counsellor-supported learning experience that occurs on the Business Growth & Development Programme (BGP) at Cranfield.

The owner-managers of growing businesses receive disinterested, unemotional and objective views from their Cranfield BGP counsellor and the other owner-managers in their counselling group and BGP cohort. The objective of this process is to hold up a flat mirror to the business owner-manager so that they see a picture of the problem that is not distorted by subjectivity, twisted by emotional involvement or cluttered by too much detail.

This peer-to-peer learning occurs in individual counselling sessions, group counselling, syndicate work, and as part of interactive panel discussions and presentations. It extends beyond the lecture hall and breakout rooms. BGP counsellors make a point of visiting business-owners at their business premises and, because the... BGP involves dinners and overnight stays at Cranfield, owner-managers often keep discussing their business growth issues with peers and counsellors long into the evening.

One of the problems faced by business owner-managers is not having anyone to turn to for advice and support in making tough decisions. BGP allows them to share with people in the same situation. Many participants find the BGP counselling and peer-to-peer learning process so valuable they join BGP clubs after the programme has ended in order to stay in regular contact with their counsellor and group.

Controversial by Luis Suarez

Liverpool soccer player Luis Suarez bit Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic on the arm during a match Sunday, and was subsequently suspended for 10 games. Here are my top 10 Suarez talking points:
1. Who says Liverpool lacks bite or incision?
2. I thought you weren’t meant to eat anything that’s blue?
3. Suarez future: Barca or Real may fancy a chunk of him, but I’m not sure that he’ll bite.
4. Totally uncivilized behavior. In England we use a knife and fork!
5. A clear case of assault and pepper.
6. New Liverpool strategy: Shock and gnaw !
7. Headline: MAN BITES DOGGED DEFENDER.
8. The incident has threatened to leave an unpleasant taste in more than just one mouth.
9. New soccer movie: “An Uruguayan Werewolf in Liverpool.”
10. New breakfast cereal: All Bran-islav Ivanovic !

Steps To A Winning Proposal

In the world of business-to-business sales, successful new business usually comes about because someone has prepared and presented a winning proposal. A proposal is essentially a sales pitch for the products or services you offer.

Writing a winning proposal involves identifying a need or an opportunity that a client has, and proposing to provide goods and/or services to meet that need or opportunity. Your business needs to pitch for new business in order to grow, so the ability to produce winning proposals is critical to your future

Who writes the proposals in your business - is it you as the owner-manager? Or do you delegate this task? How good are the proposals you produce? Do your management team.

have the skills to create winning proposals? Does your team follow a step-by-step process such as this one?

Step 1. Conduct a needs analysis. It is important to begin by defining the need or the opportunity. Ask who your customers are, what do they want and what is their solution at the moment?

Step 2. Design your offer. Consider what you will offer to meet this need and define thepurpose of the proposal. What is the transaction you wish to achieve by producing this proposal? What will you provide, for how much money and in what time frame? Are you providing a standard offering, or are you customising an offer just for this client? At this stage you should also consider carefully if you are sure you can deliver on your offer, and what special conditions will need to be included.

Step 3. Create an outline. Often this will follow a standard form. Your proposal outlinecould be: Cover Letter, Title Page, Proprietary Notice,Table of Contents, Executive Summary, Introduction, Body, Summary and Conclusions and Bibliography. You might also list the charts, graphs, tables or illustrations you will create and, if you are presenting your proposal, you may also need to create an outline for a slide show.

Step 4. Gather your data. Carry out your research, gather data and assemble the information you need. You might want to include background information on your business and industry and show how your offering saves money or increases income for your customer, and performs better than alternatives.

Step 5. Write the Proposal. Use clear, objective language and write what you would say to your customer if you were making the proposal in person. Remember you are writing a serious commercial document. While you hope it will be the basis of much future business, remember that it will be pored over in the event of a dispute. Both parties need to clearly understand the offer, so your words need to be carefully weighed.

Step 6. Polish and improve. Carefully proof read all documents and check spelling and grammar. Make sure your proposal documents are smartly formatted and use your logo and colours in a consistent style. Use the features in Word to create your cover page, contents, footnotes, page numbers and bibliography.

Step 7. Deliver and present. Get your proposal in front of your client. Present it, or at least deliver it, in person for maximum impact. It is now time to begin the process of overcoming objections, asking for the order and completing the sale.

Step 8. Review the outcome. Monitor and learn from your success rate. If you won the business easily, was your price too low? If you failed to win the business, what can you learn to improve your proposals in the future? Does your proposal writing process need work?the form of profitable growth for your business.

Konsep Sistem Informasi Manajemen

Pengertian Sistem Informasi Manajemen

  1. perangkat keras (hard ware),
